The Mission

The VOUGLER ARTS Community Award is a $300 prize to fund a creative project that gives back to our city. We are directly investing in a Tucson trailblazer with a vision to inspire, connect, or beautify our community through public art and engagement.

How This Award Helps Your Project

This $300 award is dedicated to empowering your community art project. Use the funds for:

Essential Materials: Canvas, paint, clay, software, or other tools.

Project Development: Secure workspace, rent equipment, or invest in research.

Production & Presentation: Cover costs for public installations, zine printing, or performances.

Community Engagement: Fund materials for workshops or outreach for public events.

Eligibility & Application Requirements

Who Can Apply:

Passionate, actively practicing creatives residing in Tucson, AZ. This includes artists, writers, musicians, photographers, and all creative trailblazers.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must be a current resident of Tucson, AZ.

Submitted work must be your original creation.

Proposal must be for a community-focused art project.

Application Checklist:

1. Artist Statement (Max 250 words): Your artistic practice and vision.
2. Community Project Proposal (Max 300 words): Your specific project idea, its community impact, and how the $300 will be used.
3. Artist Bio (Max 150 words): Your background and creative journey.
4. Portfolio (5-8 examples): Your strongest representative work.
